FIRST Wisconsin Grant Resources

Grants are a great way to help cover your team's expenses such as registration, parts, travel, and other costs. However, the Youth Advisory’s Council's Growth and Sustainability Committee recognized that many grants can be difficult to apply for. To support teams through the process, we have developed tutorial documents with instructions for three of the most common FIRST Robotics grants in Wisconsin.

• Wisconsin DPI Robotics League Participation Grant (Closes October 5, 2026)

  • Wisconsin DPI Robotics League Participation Grant Tutorial

• Gene Haas Foundation Grant (Late applications are being accepted. Funds will be distributed in the new year.)

  • Gene Haas Foundation Grant Application

• MSOE FIRST Robotics Grant (Closes December 1, 2026)

  • MSOE FIRST Robotics Grant Tutorial

We want to make these tutorials even better for Wisconsin teams! If your team used any of the tutorials while completing the grant application, please complete the short survey below. Through the survey, you can also submit any questions that you may have about the tutorials or grants.

We have also compiled a spreadsheet with various grant and fundraising opportunities that FIRST Wisconsin teams can use. To request a tutorial for one of the grants on the spreadsheet, please use the form above.
